Orbit is a recreation of my favorite rhythm game A Dance of Fire and Ice built in my custom C++ game engine Adagio. I utilized the Wwise SDK with music beat callbacks to maintain synchronization and ensure that timing ratings were fair. Paths were defined using XML and supported any shape, spin tiles (that reverse the direction of the orbiting planets), speed and slow tiles, and checkpoints.
